As much as it pains me to announce this, Exreality will officially go offline on October 20th, 2010. I realize this probably doesn’t come as much of a shock as no new posts have been posted for months. Thank you all for your loyal readership.

10 Things I Am Sick Of

Originally, this was going to be just a list of 5 things that I am sick of without an intro, but once I got going, I thought of a few more things and now we’re at a list of 10. I know it’s been awhile, and this isn’t an official return, just thought I would share my thoughts with you. So without further adieu, here’s a list of 10 things that I am sick of.

We Got 99 Rants, But This Ain’t One

Yes, that was Jay-Z reference, I’m feeling like a 14 year old white girl Facebook tonight… and who knows, maybe I am. What we do know is that distorted and I have been pumping out the content over the past 3 months or so and with the holidays coming up, we have decided to take a brief hiatus. If you haven’t noticed, we’re getting close to rant #100 (again). In fact, the next rant will be #100. This is a milestone for us, so we would like to do it right, and to do it right, we need about a 3 week break and for distorted to write the next rant. After Thanksgiving and final exams, we’ll return on December 16th refreshed with rant #100. Look forward to it and we’ll see you then.

10 Things That Would Make Life Less Annoying

I was sitting in class yesterday and heard a bunch of people clicking while the professor quietly spoke at the front of the class. This clicking was from the 5-15 people who were texting instead of listening in class. So I started thinking of different things that would make life less annoying and put them in the list that follows.

At the end of her show’s 25th season on air, Oprah Winfrey will call it quits on her talk show. Although this won’t happen until September 9, 2011, I think we can all acknowledge that this can’t happen soon enough. Thank you Oprah for 25 years of force feeding over-protective mothers that “information” they needed to never let their child do anything enjoyable ever.

Give It a Rest, Mother Nature

It’s now fall, which means a couple of things in Washington. First, it means that the rain is coming back. What I forgot about until recently was the second thing: brutal November wind storms. Now I know what you’re all thinking…how bad can one wind storm really be? At least it’s not a blizzard? And I generally agree, except it’s not just one windstorm.

10 Things That Infuriate College Students

I realized that there are a few things that infuriate most college students as I attempted to complete an assignment that was horribly described (see #4), and decided that these were 10 things a lot of people could probably relate to. So without further adieu, I present to you 10 things that infuriate college students.

Meet the Epic Date Movie

Recently I’ve had the displeasure of seeing “Meet the Spartans.” Upon doing so I broke one of the Courtesy rules distorted and Nyarlathotep speak so highly about, but I’d like to juxtapose a referendum to their rule that you do go to a movie belligerently drunk because if you see a truly horrible movie and there are drunkards there, they cannot take anymore from an already horrible movie going experience. Like how you cannot become more dead after dying, a truly horrible movie cannot become more horrible by an outside force…

10 Things That Are Just Plain Stupid

I’ve had one R.E.M. cycle in the past 48 hours, so forgive me for the simplicity of these 10 things, but they’re the only 10 things I can think of at the moment. Therefore, before I crash into my computer hoping it will bring me steadfast into the dreamworld, I will start my list of 10 things that are just plain stupid.

Acclaim
To Taylor Swift, for her recent success at the Country Music Awards. Taylor came away with wins in four out of the twelve award categories, including the coveted Entertainer of the Year honor. Now many of you probably think I’ve gone off the deep end, giving my acclaim to any annoying musician whose fans are mostly teenage girls and overweight middle-aged men who are unhappy with their atrocious or non-existent wives. And yes, I’m aware she’s a horrible singer when she preforms live. But what she has done is marketed herself well and made a name for herself in the process. So even if you don’t like her and you don’t like her music, you can’t deny that she’s hugely successful and thus should be acclaimed for her ability to be marketable.
